Congregation B’nai Shalom is pleased to announce the opening of a Full Day Preschool! The program will be for 3 and 4 year old children and will be in session daily from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM and will offer Early Drop Off at 7:30 AM and Extended Day until 6:00 PM. Our preschool curriculum allows each child to explore and grow within a caring community of other children, teachers, and parents. Children learn by playing and doing.

We follow an academic calendar year. We offer partial day and full day preschool programs. We welcome family involvement in our School and we strive to create a community for our families. All of our families are encouraged to attend our community meetings and social gatherings throughout the year.

PALS at CBS Welcomes our Founding Director! Amy Scott!
PALS Director, Amy Scott joined Congregation B’nai Shalom in March of 2017 and will begin her role as Founding Director of the Play and Learn School in September. Amy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services/Human Development with a concentration in Early Childhood and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Early Childhood. Amy is currently working on obtaining a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. Amy also holds EEC certification as a Lead Infant, Toddler & Preschool Teacher, as well as a Director II. Amy has worked as a consultant, adjunct professor and administrator in various educational settings all over the state of Massachusetts and country.
Amy’s philosophy of education is based on theory, research and developmentally appropriate practice. Through facilitating and providing rewarding experiences and an enriched environment, Amy believes that children are empowered to have successful, positive interactions and relationships with others. Amy sees each child as a unique individual with a great capacity to learn and make positive contributions to others. Amy currently resides in Worcester and when she is not at PALS, she enthusiastically enjoys traveling!!!
The Play And Learn School is fully licensed, as required by law, through the Massachusetts Office of Early Education and Care and, and is in full compliance with the regulations and requirements of this governing agency. Through its regulation, EEC establishes the basis for safe and appropriate programs for young children. Beyond the EEC regulations, are standards described by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Nationally recognized as setting more specific and optimal conditions for children in the early childhood standards, NAEYC standards are the foundation for our program goals.
