A Jewish summer camp experience is among the best things one can do to build, maintain, and strengthen Jewish identity. Moreover, spending a summer at camp is fun! While there are several Jewish camps available, we encourage our children to attend our Reform Movement’s camps, Eisner, Crane Lake and 6 Points Sci-Tech Academy. These camps provide a creative setting for Jewish living and learning through camp programming. They are places where your children will make lifelong friends, embrace new experiences, and explore what being Jewish means to them. We invite you to find out more about Eisner and Crane Lake Camps and their commitment to providing your child with fun, safe and unforgettable summer experiences. For more information, please visit the camp website.

URJ 6 Points Sci-Tech Academy

At 6 Points Sci-Tech Academy, scientific inquiry meets fun! Campers entering grades 5-10 spend two weeks exploring robotics, video game design, environmental science, digital media, and a host of other fun activities in a friendly setting with boys and girls who share similar interests.

Throughout their experience, campers explore what Judaism means to them—and how this complements their interests in science and technology. Our five core values shape our community – kavod (respect), kesher (connection), sakranut (curiosity), taglit (discovery), and savlanut (patience). Campers gain an understanding of their place in the long history of the Jewish people’s contributions to science and technology, and build a strong connection to Israel as an incubator of innovation. Located just outside of Boston’s science and technology corridor on the campus of the beautiful Governor’s Academy boarding school, 6 Points Sci-Tech Academy offers all of the advantages of a top-quality educational facility along with access to the best and brightest minds in the Jewish science and technology community. Mitzvah Corps

Mitzvah Corps allows Reform Jewish teens to experience social action at its best. The program combines direct hands-on involvement in communities that need the energy, dedication, and love that youth provide with programs rooted in Jewish social and ethical issues. Participants will have the chance to live communally with other teens and build their own community, while at the same time engaging in meaningful social justice work, and having fun! Summer Camp Scholarships

There are two non-need based camp scholarships available to members of Congregation B’nai Shalom, The Steve Meltzer Youth Summer Camp Scholarship Fund and the Freelander Family Scholarship Fund Camping Initiative.  To qualify, campers must be enrolled in and regularly attend our religious school (80% attendance), and attend an approved Jewish camp program.

The Steve Meltzer Youth Summer Camp Scholarship is limited to our URJ Camps: Eisner, Crane Lake, Kutz, and 6 Points Sci-Tech Academy. You need to attend these camps for at least one full session. The Steve Meltzer Youth Summer Camp Scholarship Fund is supported by your direct donations, by the proceeds from registering your Stop & Shop Card in the A+ program , and by Youth Committee Fundraisers

The Jewish Federation of Central Massachusetts (JFCM) offers generous scholarships to first time campers, with the support of the Freelander Family Scholarship Fund Camping Initiative in cooperation with the Foundation for Jewish Camp. This fund provides four $1500 scholarships for campers who are attending Jewish summer camp for the first time. Please note that this scholarship is related to the $1000 One Happy Camper Scholarship that you may also apply for, but you are not eligible to receive both; you may however be eligible to receive up to an additional $500 from the JFCM. In addition, the JFCM has a limited pool of scholarships for resident camps this summer.
