Attention Summer Campers

Congregation Bnai Shalom is again offering camp scholarships to those members whose children are planning to attend Jewish summer camps this summer.  Last year we provided scholarships for 20 of our members and are hoping to increase that number this year.  In addition to our own scholarship fund we have been awarded a grant through the Federation, the Freelander Jewish Camp Scholarship Fund, for first time summer campers.  This fund has provided four $1500 scholarships for kids who are attending Jewish summer camp for the first time.  Both scholarship funds are being provided to any camper who is a member of CBS, is enrolled and regularly attends religious school at CBS (80% attendance) and plans to attend an approved Jewish camp program (the CBS scholarships limited to Kutz, Eisner or Crane Lake Camps) for at least 4 weeks.  To apply for the scholarships please send a copy of your camp registration form to the Youth Committee, attention Peg Fishkind.  All applications must be in by March 1^st and will be reviewed by the youth committee at that time.  Families will be informed about the amount of each award in early March.   The awards will be paid directly to the camp.
