What is Shabbat Restaurant Week?
CBS members are invited to sign up for our Fourth Annual Shabbat Restaurant Week on Friday, November 17. Join us for an early, joyful Shabbat service, then head out to dinner at a local restaurant. It is a different way to experience oneg Shabbat (the pleasure of Shabbat)- one that doesn’t involve cooking or having to wash up the dishes! It is a great way to make new friends. With the exception of one family-friendly option, this is designed to be a social gathering for the adults in the congregation. Whether signing up solo or a couple, these are warm, welcoming tables, hosted by members just like you!
This year we have some new restaurants and experiences in the mix, including a group dining from the excellent gluten-free menu at Arturo’s, an option for those who would like to bring their children with them at Cheng Du, and a chef-catered dinner party experience at The Chef’s Table in Hopkinton. Please read the detailed descriptions below and then click the link at the bottom of the page to sign up (Links to full menus for each restaurant can be found on the sign up page).
The Restaurants
The Civic, Westborough. Pamela and Glenn Penna will be hosting a table at The Civic – a wonderful farm-to-table restaurant with great cocktails and local beers.
Arturo’s, Westborough. Robin and Andy Feldman will be hosting a table at Arturo’s, ordering from their excellent gluten-free menu.
Tavolino’s Westborough.  Jane and Jay Mazur will be hosting at Tavolino’s – a delicious Italian-inspired menu, with great salads, gourmet mains, and some of the best classy pizzas in town!
Cassa Vallarta, Northborough. Wendy and Ayal Zingher will be hosting at the area’s best Mexican restaurant, right on Route 9 as you cross over from Westborough to Northborough.
Ted’s Montana Grill, Westborough. Lori & Steve Winer, Carol and George Hengerle, will be co-hosting at the home of the Bison Burger (along with other great American style dishes).
Tomasso, Southborough. Amy Rosenberg and Greg Manousos will be hosting at this classy European cuisine restaurant right on Route 9 in Southborough.
Cheng Du, Westborough. Diane Diamond and Peter Mecenas are hosting this year’s family-friendly dinner option. If you’d like to dine with your children, this great Chinese restaurant is the place for you!
El Basha, Westborough. Susan deCastro is hosting at our local Middle-Eastern inspired restaurant.
Sapporo, Westborough. Jennifer and Michael Pfeiffer are the hosts at this excellent Korean cooked foods plus sushi restaurant right in the middle of town on E. Main St.
The Chef’s Table, Hopkinton. Michelle and Ross Leibowitz are hosting at this dining venue. This one is a bit different – it is not a restaurant! The Chef’s Kitchen on Main offers
clients personalized, fun, and always delicious food experiences. Chef Lee will be preparing a dinner on site which will include 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 sides and dessert.  Our group will be the only ones there, which will make it so much easier to get to know one another better.  Please feel free to bring your own favorite beer or wine.  The cost of this unique dining experience will be $75 per person.  When signing up please let Michelle know about any food allergies or dietary restrictions.
Please Note: All of the restaurants are adult-onlyexcept for Cheng Du, which is a family-friendly option. If you would like a list of our teens who are certified as babysitters, please contact the temple office. Please note that the Arturo’s group will be using their gluten-free menu.
