Take a Hike? How about a Cruise?

Hike Ashland State Park on June 24th, Cruise Boston Harbor on July 30th, and much more!
Have you thought about joining one or more of our interest groups? We’ve already got a hike planned, and a cruise to the Boston Harbor Islands this summer, and these are just two examples of ways that you can connect with others with similar interests. If you like to go out to dinner, join others for dinner at their home, go to the movies or theater, ski, play bridge, rock climb, go on day trips, learn a new craft, or want to find others who like to do the same thing you do, go to Let’s Have Fun! and sign up.

Go Take a Hike
Ashland State Park, Saturday, June 24th, 2pm
Want to take a hike? How about coming to Ashland State Park? At  2 pm on June 24 our temple’s Hiking Club will be walking around Ashland State Park (rain/excessive heat date: June 25 10 am). The hike is about 5 miles on a fairly flat wooded trail. Congregants of all ages are welcome, but parents are responsible for their children. There is a beach and also some other stopping points along the way to eat snacks or lunch (if you bring it) but unless you turn back you have to finish the loop.
Go Take A Cruise
Boat Cruise to Spectacle Island Sunday, July 30
Need a vacation but just don’t have any free time this summer? How does a mini-staycation with a cruise, an optional nature walk, swim in the ocean, picnic lunch and jazz concert …all in a day… sound? We’ll carpool from CBS (or meet at the wharf) then drive to Boston for a cruise to Spectacle Island. You can just chill with a cold (non-alcoholic) drink and listen to a Berklee Jazz group wail away or hike on up to 5 miles of trails as you take in spectacular views of Boston Harbor….or both! Come alone or bring your family. Ferries run back and forth several times daily, so you can come and leave at a time that works for you and meet up for a BYO picnic lunch. Tickets and are $17 round trip for adults, less for kids and seniors. Tickets must be purchased by you directly from Boston Harbor Tours (bostonharborislands.org) and are available on a first come, first serve basis.
