Community wide Dr. MLK Jr Day of Celebration

4:00 PM - 6:30 PMWestborough High School CafeteriaThe event will be held on January 19th from 4:00pm-6:30pm at Westborough High School (90 West Main Street) in the cafeteria and it is free and open to all.
This year’s theme is “From Dreams to Dialogue: Creating a Community Where all Belong” and will feature facilitated conversation for teens and adults, led by Dr. Kalise Wornum.
Children are invited to a special interactive program taking place at the same time, developed by Westborough’s Pre-K-8th grade Social Studies Curriculum Coordinator, Tara Gestrich, and students from Westborough High School’s Black Student Union.
The event is one of only a few MLK Day celebrations being held in the central MA and MetroWest region.
The event will feature a community potluck dinner. Attendees are invited to bring a special dish to share.
Members of the WHS Fine Arts Strings Quartet will welcome attendees into the event and the evening will conclude with a special performance by Learning First Charter School's STOMP Team.

Rabbi Rachel Gurevitz is on the planning team for this annual event, which is also sponsored by the interfaith group she co-founded, Central MA Connections in Faith, and Westborough Interfaith Clergy.
