The year of Confirmation is, for our 10th graders, a time for students to deepen their understanding of Jewish history, traditions, values, and their own place within the Jewish community. The confirmation ceremony occurs during the Shavuot evening service, and students participate in readings, prayers, and musical selections. Confirmation emphasizes a deeper understanding of Jewish values and a commitment to Jewish life. The core of the ceremony is a pledge, where students publicly affirm their commitment to Jewish learning and living. Our Rabbis will also offer a blessing to the confirmands.
