Local Jewish Resources

We are part of a larger network of Jewish organizations and services that serve the Central Massachusetts region. These are resources that may be helpful to you, and organizations that we encourage our members to support, whether through monetary donations, or by volunteering your time.

At the largest Jewish gathering in North America, 5,000 attendees will come together to worship, learn, sing, build community, and shape the future of the Reform Movement. Get recharged with learning sessions, networking opportunities, plenaries, worship, and entertainment — all tailored to inspire and empower lay leaders, clergy, and synagogue professionals.

More than 140 sessions designed to provide congregational leaders with tools to enhance their effectiveness, and to highlight innovations in Jewish spiritual life. Presenters include experts in academia, the private sector, Reform Movement institutions, and congregations, offering sessions across five intensive tracks: Strengthening Congregations, Tikkun Olam, Audacious Hospitality, Youth Engagement, and Transforming Texts (in partnership with HUC-JIR). Jewish Federation of Central Massachusetts – the Federation that extends from Worcester to Westborough. The Jewish Federation is our largest source of support for our Religious school program. They support many local needs, such as Rachel’s Table (feeding the hungry), and enrich the local Jewish community through cultural and arts programming, groups for interfaith families and the very popular ‘Young Adult Division’. We encourage our members to make an annual donation to support our local Federation.

Here is a list of other local affiliated organizations:

Jewish Family and Children’s Services, Central MA – providing a variety of support programs and services, including offerings for new parents, adoption services, counseling for children and families, resources for people with disabilities, and resources to support seniors.

Worcester JCC  – a full service JCC facility in Worcester. Of particular interest to our members is their popular summer day camp program.

PJ Library  – a wonderful, free program to introduce very young children and their families to Jewish stories and festivals with a monthly delivery of a Jewish book or CD to your home.

Synagogue Council of Massachusetts – an organization that provides leadership training and community-wide cultural programs.

MetroWest Jewish Day School – our nearest pluralistic Jewish day school, located in Framingham.

Jewish Family Services of Metrowest – providing social service resources to those who in live in some towns to the east of our congregation.

Jewish Healthcare Center  – providing long term care, rehabilitation services, hospice care, and home care options. Located in Worcester.

Rachel’s Table – providing food collection and distribution to support the hungry, and a milk fund that insures milk is delivered to children through a network of social service programs. Opportunities to volunteer are available via their website, and donations are always welcome to support their work.
