Ushpizin: Creating welcoming and inclusive community

There is an old tradition of welcoming spiritual ancestors into the Sukkah. Once, those who were welcomed were only men from our tradition. In recent decades our Jewish communities have become more aware of who is included and who is excluded from our past and present. After a delicious dinner and communal social time, we'll hear from several of our congregants, in conversation with Rabbi Gurevitz, about the ways we can continue to learn and the things that we can all do to contribute to a Jewish community that is inclusive and welcoming to the diversity of Jewish life.
