 Selichot - Sanctuary
Our evening begins with a viewing of the short documentary, 'The Quilters' followed by a discussion and some reflections on the quilts at Congregation B'nai Shalom. After our program, Rabbi Gurevitz will lead a short ritual to introduce the musical themes of the season and change over the Torah scroll mantles to white.

 Erev Rosh Hashanah Service - Sanctuary
Led by Rabbi Gurevitz, Rabbi Eiduson, and Cantorial Soloist Sharon Brown Goldstein, the service will be followed by a Lobby Oneg Chag to Welcome in the New Year with Sweetness. Available on Livestream

Tuesday September 23 8:30-10:30 am

Rosh HaShanah Morning Traditional Service - Sanctuary
This will be a more traditional service for adults and students age 12 and older, led by Rabbi Eiduson and Cantorial Soloist Sharon Brown Goldstein. Available on Live stream. Childcare will be available for children 2-5. Go to HHD ChildWatch 5786 for more information

Rosh HaShanah Morning Family Service and Program - Social Hall
Religious school students and their parents are invited to a morning filled with the highlights of the Rosh Hashanah service, interactive activities for our youth, and meaningful study and discussion for parents. Led by Rabbi Gurevitz, Cantorial Soloist Lisa Marcus, Debbi Morin and our Madrichol.
This will be followed by an additional optional family activity until 11.45am

Registration required for the Family service and Program to help us plan LINK NEEDED

11:30 am-1:30 pm  Rosh HaShanah Choir Service - Sanctuary
Rabbi Gurevitz, Rabbi Eiduson and Cantorial Soloists Sharon Brown Goldstein and Lisa Marcus will lead the service. Our adult choir's voices are a wonderful way to experience High Holy Day music, participate in morning services, and enjoy unique and inspiring music. The service is available on Livestream.

Tashlich Ritual - at Lake Chauncey, Lyman Street
Tashlich comes from the Hebrew word "to cast," referring to the intent to cast away our sins via this meaningful and ancient Jewish custom. We'll gather at Lake Chauncey for this traditional ceremony.

Rosh HaShanah 2nd Day Service - Sanctuary

A High Holy Day inspired Tot Shabbat for children ages birth to 5 years and their parents at Congregation B'nai Shalom led by Rabbis Eiduson and Gurevitz, including a brief service, story, craft project, and lots of singing!

 Kol Nidre - Traditional Service - Sanctuary
This will be a more traditional service for adults and students age 12 and older, led by Rabbi Eiduson and Cantorial Soloist Sharon Brown Goldstein and available on an alternate livestream.

Reflective Kol Nidre - Creative Service in the Social Hall
In this service, we focus on the essence of the liturgy, including the central anthems such as Kol Nidre and Avinu Malkeinu. Overall, we include less liturgy as Rabbi Gurevitz and Cantorial Soloist Lisa Marcus highlight a key theme each year that weaves through the service to invite congregants into a more personal and meditative start to this holiest day of the year. Our afternoon begins in a more meditative mode and concludes with the afternoon Torah service and our teen leaders retelling the story of Jonah.

The service will be led by Rabbi Gurevitz, Rabbi Eiduson Cantorial Soloists Sharon Brown Goldstein, and Lisa Marcus. Available on Livestream.

Special readings for this service are contained in our Book of Remembrance, which you can download prior to Yom Kippur when it is complete.
