40th Anniversary Archive Project

In 2018-19, Congregation B'nai Shalom reached its 40th Anniversary. On this page, we share with you archive materials collected and assembled to tell our story. Below, our digital archive reviews all 40 years of Congregation B'nai Shalom, and our roots in the Westborough Jewish Women's Club and Westborough Jewish Association. The archival materials were researched and selected by congregants Mike Backer, Toby Federman, Ruth Lubitz, Eileen Samberg, Allen Rosenfeld, Rickey and Bruce Lopatin. Eileen Samberg digitized and organized the materials. The final presentation was created by Rabbi Rachel Gurevitz. The online presentation tool, 'Prezi' was used to create this presentation.

Video Archive: A Look back on 40 years through the eyes of our members

During our 40th year, we interviewed a number of our long-time members about their contributions to and memories of Congregation B'nai Shalom over the years. Here, we present those stories. Enormous gratitude to Videographer and Director, Chuck Green, for overseeing this project, and to Chai School student, Alex Tannenbaum, our Assistant Director and Assistant Video Editor. Many thanks to the team of Chai School students who helped to conduct the interviews with our founding members.
