HHD 5784 Security

As you are aware, we have put enhanced security measures in place at Congregation B'nai Shalom, and this is another opportunity to inform you of the measures which will be in place when you arrive at temple over the High Holy Days. You can help us by coming prepared and following these instructions:

No one will be admitted to Congregation B'nai Shalom for any Rosh Hashanah or Yom Kippur service without a name badge.

This includes Erev Rosh Hashanah, as well as Yom Kippur Afternoon, Yizkor, and Ne'ilah, services which in previous years have not required a name badge. Information for those community members attending ONLY on Yom Kippur Afternoon is available at  https://www.cbnaishalom.org/form/hhd5784-ykpm-guests

Everyone over the age of 18 who is a member in good standing, or a guest who has requested to join us in advance has been provided with a name badge. If you have not received yours as yet, please contact the Temple Office. Information about obtaining name badges for guests is available at  High Holy Days Guests.

  • PLEASE WEAR YOUR NAME BADGE AROUND YOUR NECK AS YOU APPROACH THE TEMPLE REAR DOORS.
    • YOU MUST WEAR YOUR NAME BADGE WHILE IN THE BUILDING - IT ENABLES ALL BOARD MEMBERS AND VOLUNTEER USHERS TO QUICKLY AND EASILY IDENTIFY WHO SHOULD BE IN THE BUILDING WHILE MAINTAINING THE WARM AND WELCOMING SPIRIT THAT WE STRIVE FOR.PLEASE - iF YOU FEEL ILL OR ARE EXHIBITING ANY COVID OR FLU SYMPTOMS, STAY AT HOME AND ENJOY OUR SERVICES ON LIVESTREAM.

When you arrive.....
There will be a canopy in front of the Social Hall door to the right of the main entrance

  • If you are wearing your name badge, you will be welcome to enter immediately through the main doors. If you are dropping someone off before parking, make sure they have their name tag on, and make sure that you have yours!
  • If you need to pick up your name badge or have lost or forgotten it, go the canopy to the right of the main doors and staff and volunteers will be there to assist
  • Please hold onto your name badge until the end of Yom Kippur, or until the last service on Yom Kippur that you plan to attend.
  • Non-member visitors should go to the table under the canopy where staff and volunteers will be to assist those who have not pre-registered
  • If you have family members who join us only on Yom Kippur afternoon,.please complete the form at  Yom Kippur Afternoon GuestsWe will prepare name badges for them, expediting the process.

ONCE AGAIN, NO ONE WILL BE ADMITTED WITHOUT A NAME BADGE
NAME BADGES WILL BE REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES, INCLUDING EREV ROSH HASHANAH AND YOM KIPPUR AFTERNOON.

We thank you for your attention to these procedures and your assistance in helping us ensure a safe and welcoming High Holy Days for all.
